I can't do this anymore. I am tired of battling the same negative thoughts over and over. I am on a cycle of depression that leads to unhealthy coping, making me feel more shame, and then the depression hits again. My relationships with my family are suffering. I feel stuck and unsure of which way to turn. Who can I trust? Can I really change?

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 2 Timothy 1:6
My name is Jennifer Gray. I am a wife, a mother, and a believer in Jesus Christ and His power to heal. I am also a believer in the healing power of touch. Throughout scripture the importance of touch is displayed. From the healing touch of Jesus, to the biblical principle that we should greet each other with a holy kiss, God's word is filled with examples of the power of touch. This concept has been backed by science. Most are familiar with the positive impact massage therapy has to reduce muscle tension, improve circulation, stimulate your lymphatic system, increase your overall mobility and flexibility, and improve your skin tone. But research has shown massage therapy also has an incredible impact on a person's mental health. Endorphins, also known as the happy hormones, are released through massage therapy. Massage has also been shown to help with anxiety, stress, depression, and sleep issues.
In 2007 I completed my coursework to become a Licensed Massage Therapist through Gadsden State Community College. I went on to receive my certification in Lymphedema Therapy from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. I spent the next four years practicing massage at RMC's Outpatient Rehab, in Anniston Alabama. After taking some time away from Massage Therapy to spend more time with my beautiful daughters, I began to feel God call me back to it in 2019.
